Happy Thursday! I'm playing along with this week's Papertrey Ink Throwback Thursday post. This week's featured product is the Cover Plate: Peony die (product link below!).
This gorgeous die is so pretty when it's cut, but how about embossing with it? I thought it would be fun to emboss it onto watercolor paper, then use the embossed lines as a guide for watercoloring that beautiful peony. I ran it through my Big Shot with the embossing mats and appropriate embossing sandwich.
One of my goals for 2018 is to work on my watercoloring skills...hopefully a little something every day, or nearly every day. This was today's practice. I added a pretty diecut sentiment, which was cut using the Scripted dies, cut from the same watercolor paper so it would match nicely.
Thanks so much for stopping by to check out today's Throwback Thursday project! It's always one of my favorites. Keeway is also posting a project today using the Cover Plate: Peony die, so be sure to click over and check out her project, too!
