Introducing Quoted: Friendship and the Hinged Gift Card Box...

Good morning and welcome to Day 1 of the January Papertrey Ink countdown!  Nothing like some brand new stamping products and projects to get you going on a cold January morning.  Grab something warm, and hop around to all the Papertrey team blogs to see what's new!  You can find links to everyone's projects from the main Papertrey Ink blog.

Today I get to showcase a couple of the new products being introduced -- this month's Quoted set, which is an awesome friendship quote, and a fun new box die sized perfectly for gift cards!

These new products, along with anything else mentioned as "new" in today's post will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm ET on January 15th from the Papertrey Ink website.

I put together a card and gift box ensemble using these new goodies.  For the card, I started off by doing a bit of watercoloring on a panel of watercolor paper that was cut with the brand new Mix & Mat: Confetti die.  Just like all of the other Mix & Mat sets, there are three dies -- I used the outer scalloped frame along with the stitched border.

When my watercoloring was dry, I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it with gold powder.  At the bottom I put a couple of the new birds, which you'll be seeing more of soon.  They're cute and fluffy and kind of messy, and really fun to stamp.

I attached them with some foam for a little dimension.

The little gift card box was quick to put together using the new Hinged Gift Card Box die.  This die also comes with a couple of different "panels" with words built into them -- really cute for embellishing the top.  Here I did some watercoloring to match my card, then diecut it with the "enjoy" die from the set.  All of the metallic gold droplets you see on today's projects were done using some Color Shine in Gold.

That's all for today!  I'll be back here tomorrow with more - see you then!

New make it band
