Good morning! Yay! It's time for the December Papertrey Ink countdown to kick off! We have some amazing things coming your way again this month. I'll be sneak peeking several new products today and I'll tell you about them as I go along.
Anything mentioned as "new" in today's post will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm ET on December 15th from Papertrey Ink.
My first card uses several new products, the main one being a GORGEOUS new set by Dawn called Farmer's Market Florals. It is so fun to stamp...I love it!
I started off by creating a dramatic background. I diecut several of the flowers from lightweight copy paper and placed them on a panel of white cardstock with some removable adhesive, then sponged over them with black ink. Then I removed the copy paper diecut and stamped all of the flowers (using the copy paper diecuts to mask individual flowers as I was stamping. I love how dramatic it turned out! I was inspired by all of the pretty floral prints we're seeing in fashion right now!
So I used a few more new products to finish my card. The sentiment was cut from Luxe Gold cardstock using some new sentiment dies called Huge Sentiments. There is a matching stamp set of coordinating sentiments. I stamped the "...wedding day" sentiment and heat embossed it with gold powder. I layered everything over a Tag Sale #12 diecut. I trimmed the bottom of my stamped panel with another new die coming your way this month called
My next card reminds me of one of those pretty, elegant chocolate boxes you see at Valentine's Day. I used the Farmer's Market Florals set along with a few other new products. I stamped some of the flowers from the Farmer's Market set is some gorgeous deep, valentine reds and layered them over the new Mix & Mat: Hearts die. I used all three of the dies from the new Mix & Mat set (the heart insert, arrow border, and outer heart frame).
For the card base, I sponged some Pure Poppy and Scarlet Jewel ink onto a white card base, and also spritzed it with some pretty shimmer spray. Not sure you can see it on the photos, but it's so pretty in real life!
My next card is a much simpler take on the Mix & Mat: Heart dies and Everyday Affection sentiment set. This time I used just the arrow border and heart insert from the Mix & Mat set and cut them directly from the front of a card base made from watercolor paper.
On the inside, I did some watercoloring with Raspberry Fizz and Berry Sorbet reinkers to show through the heart cut-outs on the front.
Thanks so much for stopping by and helping to kick off the December countdown! I'll be back tomorrow with more!
