Papertrey Ink Dies + Leather...
Papertrey Ink September Countdown Day 2...

Papertrey Ink September Release Day 1 -- Mix & Mat: Berry Boughs...

Good morning!  It feels like forever since I've blogged...lots going on here!  It's time to kick off another Papertrey Ink countdown, and it's one of my favorite months...Christmas stuff!  I love Christmas crafting, it's my favorite!

One of the products I designed for this release is being showcased today -- this month's Mix & Mat die collection.  This month's set is called Mix & Mat: Berry Boughs.  It features a pretty pine and holly frame, a fun stitched border, and a simple snowfall interior panel.  Each of the three pieces are separate, like the other Mix & Mat sets, and they're all sized to be interchangeable so you can mix and match your Mix & Mat.  :-)

I just have a couple of projects to share with you today using these new dies.  Both projects also use a new set I have coming out this month -- Beautiful Berries: Winter, which you'll be seeing and hearing more about a little later in the countdown.  All of these new products will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm ET on September 15th from Papertrey Ink.

My first card uses all three dies from the Mix & Mat: Berry Boughs set.  I cut them from watercolor paper, then watercolored the outer edge.  I sponged ink onto the center portion of the panel (using some post-it notes to mask and get a nice clean edge along the stitching).

I layered a sentiment and some berries/branches over the top, both of which were stamped using the new Beautiful Berries: Winter set.

The sentiment was stamped onto a stitched oval, which was cut using the smallest oval from the Noted: A1 die collection.

My next project uses just the stitched border from the Mix & Mat set.  I cut it from a panel of Rustic White cardstock, then did some masking and stamping to create a pretty one-layer card.

I used some Beautiful Berries: Winter diecuts as masks and sponged some ink inside the stitched border.  Pretty much the same technique I show in this Make it Monday video, except without the stencil (I just used some sticky notes to mask around the outer edges of the stitched border).

The sentiment is from a new set Lizzie has coming out this month, which is being previewed today, called Very Merry.
