Papertrey Ink September Countdown Day 3 -- Beautiful Berries: Winter and Year of Psalms: September...
Good morning! I hope your week is off to a great start. We're working our way through the product reveals for the September Papertrey Ink countdown!
A few of my new sets are being showcased today...Beautiful Berries: Winter and Year of Psalms: September.
Just a note before I get to the projects. Just like last year with the Inspired: Jesus set, 100% of my portion of the sales of the Year of Psalms: September set will go towards putting together shoeboxes for the Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child project. I love this project, and I know so many of you do as well. My girls and I are looking forward to putting the boxes together again this year!
So, how about some projects using these new products? Everything mentioned as "new" in today's post will be available beginning at 10pm ET on September 15th from the Papertrey Ink website.
My first card today uses both of the sets being introduced today. I started off with a panel of watercolor paper, which I stamped and heat embossed some snowflakes from the Quilted: Winter set in the upper corner. Then I watercolored over them with some Blueberry Sky reinker.
I stamped the verse from the Year of Psalms: September set with Smokey Shadow ink. This month's verse is from Psalm 126:3, and is just perfect for Christmas and so many other occasions. I diecut and stamped all three of the different size branches from the BB: Winter set. The winter set is my interpretation of cedar branches and berries, so I stamped them in blue (but they look great stamped in other colors, too!).
I added two small birds from the Nesting set, and also some snowflake sequins (they're included in my new Tag Along mini kit you'll be hearing more about very soon!).
My next card uses just the Year of Psalms: September set. There is a branch image as well as some small leaf/berry clusters included in the set as fun accents. Here I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it with white powder, then sponged over it with green ink.
I stamped the branch twice to surround the sentiment. I added red around the dots included with the branch, using a Copic marker.
I added the red and holly leaf sequins to finish it off, which are also from my new Tag Along kit. The white panel was cut using the Noted: Vertical A2 die, before adding the sequins, and then attached to a Green Parakeet card base.
