Papertrey Ink Feature: Make it Market Halloween Hugs Mini Kit...

It's time for another day of product reveals and projects for the August Papertrey Ink countdown!  Today I get to help showcase my latest mini kit called Halloween Hugs.  Remember last October we released the Holiday Hugs kit, along with the Tag Sale: Huggable die, available separately?  I mentioned that there would likely be other things to coordinate with that Tag Sale die, and this month we're releasing a Halloween version to coordinate with that tag!

The Halloween Hugs kit contains a $5 stamp set, lots of dies, and patterned papers that make it a snap to turn those tag bases into cute Halloween critters that can "hug" all sorts of different treats!  There is a frankenstein, vampire, and kitty.

This new kit will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm ET on August 15th from Papertrey Ink.

Let me show you a few projects I made using the kit.  Most of mine were made by diecutting the patterned papers, but everything can be duplicated with the stamps and dies from the kit once the papers are gone, making the amount of projects you can make with the kit pretty much unlimited.

First up I have some fun long-legged halloween critters.  I used the Tag Sale: Huggable die as my base and combined it with the pencil holder dies from the Write Stuff dies to give them some long pencil legs.  :-)

Each character is also holding a fun-size candy bar.

Here's a photo of the backside so you can see how the pencils are slipped through the Write Stuff dies.

You can choose to add one of the circle tags from the kit, too, if you'd like!

My next project uses the kit and the Tag Sale: Huggable die to make some cute bookmarks.

Hugs-Bookmarks1

I trimmed down the width of the Tag Sale die base a bit to make a narrower bookmark.

I cut the arms from patterned paper, and also from magnet sheets.  The magnet sheets aren't quite strong enough on their own, so I added a small disc magnet.  This sticks to the magnet sheet arms.  I didn't glue it down, so it can be switched from arm to arm, so it can be used on either side of the book pages.  Of course you would want to use this idea with caution - magnets and small children don't always mix.  You could glue the magnet to one side to make it a little safer if you're concerned.

Lastly, the Halloween critters can be used to hug just about any kind of food treat - candy bars, a can of soda, a can of Pringles, mason jar, a paper cup, and more.  Here I wrapped up a few simple items - very quick and easy! Hugs-Food-Wraps1

I used a can of coke and a can of chips.  The patterned papers are from the new Bitty Big papers coming out this month.  The circle tags fit perfectly on the top.

Another great thing about these Halloween Huggables is that the pieces are large enough and simple enough that they're great for kids to help with!

And just for fun, here are some little vampires.  Believe it or not, the Halloween candy is already out here.  My daughter and I found these funny fake teeth and "blood" packets.  Ewwww!  My daughter gets the biggest kick out of stuff like this.  I thought it was perfect with the vampire from the kit and Lizzie's new Wicked Elixir set, which is also being revealed today.

I diecut one of the small bottles from her Wicked Elixir set and added it in with the teeth and candy "blood".

That's all for my projects today, but before I go, I thought I'd share a photo of each of the different characters and all of the parts needed to make each one.  First is the frankenstein...
