We're working our way through the August Papertrey Ink countdown...it's Day 4 and I have a few more projects to share using some of my new products!
All of the new August supplies will be up in the store at 10pm ET on August 15th.
My first card uses Kind of Corny in a bit of a different way. After inking up the stamps, I misted them with water before stamping them onto watercolor paper.
The oval was cut using the new Brushed Off: Oval dies. After stamping everything for the corn cluster, I watercolored the background with some Aqua Mist ink.
I sponged some Summer Sunrise and Orange Zest inks for the background panel, then misted with water and splattered with a bit of Terracotta Tile ink. The sentiment was added with the label and a sentiment from the Kind of Corny set.
My next project uses the corn cluster again. This time I diecut the scroll frame from the Kind of Corny set from some paper I had watercolored. I had a fun discovery...any of the inserts from the Mix & Mat die sets will fit inside this scroll frame. Here I used the leaf insert from the new Mix & Mat: Pinked Edge dies.
I heat embossed the flourishes on the frame and the sentiment label using gold embossing powder.
The card base was cute using the Noted: Scalloped A2 Vertical die, cut from Rustic White cardstock.
