I hope you're having a great weekend! Today is the last day for our August post-release blog series where each day we've featured a few of the new August Papertrey Ink products.
Today I have a couple of projects for you. This first one uses the new Stencil Basics: Dots along with the Kind of Corny set.
I wanted to play around with the new dotted stencil and texture paste. I started out by mixing small amounts of texture paste with a few drops of reinkers in Orange Zest, Terracotta Tile, Scarlet Jewel, and Royal Velvet. I used a palette knife to apply the paste over the stencil and created an ombre effect.
When it was dry, I diecut the Mix & Mat: Pinked Edge die and dotted frame from the center of the panel, then attached it to my card base, popping up the diecut portion with some foam tape. I added a corn cluster from the Kind of Corny set, and also added a few small berries from the Beautiful Berries: Autumn set layered under the bow. The sentiment was done using the label and a sentiment from the Corny set as well.
My next card uses a sentiment from the new Hey Stacks set, paired with the corn from Kind of Corny and a bunch of veggies from the older Vegetable Garden set.
The corn looks great stamped in shades of yellow for bright, summery projects as well as fall.
The sentiment behind the stack of veggies was stamped using the new Hey Stacks, stamped onto a circle cut using the new Brushed Off: Circle dies. I added a bit of patterned paper from the Holiday Plaid paper pack.
That wraps up all of our August release festivities! We'll be back soon with all of the Stamp-a-Faire happenings!
