It's time to kick of the big Papertrey Ink 9th Anniversary celebration! We have 10 days filled with new product announcements, challenges, and projects. I hope you'll join us!
Nichole is kicking things off today with the team announcement. So happy to be joining Papertrey for another year as a member of the Sr DT and also as a product designer. I'm excited about the products I'm releasing this year...things are going to be busy around here! I have several monthly series, lots of regular release items, and we'll also be continuing with the full and mini Make It Market kits periodically throughout the year. Some of the sets are a different look for me, but I think they're going to be fun. I've had fun playing around with the first installments and I hope you enjoy them too...I can't wait to show you everything!
For today's post, Nichole asked us to choose a favorite project from 2015. I picked this iris card from the April release using the Flower Favorites set. Honestly, I made this card in about 10 minutes! Isn't it funny how that works? The colors were inspired by real irises, and isn't really a color combo I would've put together on my own, but I really liked how it turned out. The sentiment is from the Graceful Greetings set, one of my favorite sentiment sets!
Nichole challenged us to create a new card based on the color scheme used in the first, so I pulled out the Beautiful Butterflies and Additions sets as I thought they'd be perfect for using the two shades of color from each of the irises.
I added some watercoloring to the background using a Limeade Ice re-inker. The sentiment is from Phrases & Praises, stamped in Royal Velvet ink.
Thanks so much for stopping by today for the Anniversary kick off! Product reveals and projects start tomorrow! To see the rest of the DT favorites, be sure to hop around to their blogs...
