Stitched Sentiments Revisited...

Happy New Year, everyone!  Wishing you much happiness and many blessings in 2016!

Today the Papertrey Ink Sr Team is back for another revisit.  Each month on the 1st, we pull out an older set and bring you some fresh inspiration.  This month's feature is Stitched Sentiments...

Stitched sentiments

This set has so many different elements that make it really fun to play around with.  For my first card, I paired those pretty vines and a sentiment from the set with the Quilted: Spring set.  The vines wrap around the wedding ring quilt image just perfectly.  I stamped the quilt block with Lovely Lady and Aqua Mist inks.

Stitched-Love-Binds

I stamped the vines in Limeade Ice ink, and added some of the small blooms and berries from the Stitched Sentiments set.  The "love" sentiment was stamped in Smokey Shadow ink.  The rest of the sentiment was stamped on the coordinating banner diecut from the In Stitches die collection.

My next card makes use of the embroidery hoop from the set to frame some mini watercolored artwork.  To do this, I diecut three hoops from watercolor paper, then brushed on a bit of watercolor on each.  Then I stamped some florals from the Graceful Greetings set.

Stitched-hoops

The sentiment was stamped using some of the stitched words from the Stitched Sentiments set and Hawaiian Shores ink.   I arranged all three hoops on a watercolored background and trimmed off the excess from around the edges. You could put all sorts of different images inside those hoops!

That wraps up my projects on this first day of the new year!  I hope you're enjoying some time with family and friends.  We'll see you back here before we know it for the start of the January countdown!

Be sure to check out the other Sr Team girls to see what new things they've whipped up using the Stitched Sentiments set.
