Introducing Two Toned...

The December Papertrey Ink countdown is well underway!  We have lots more fun product introductions today!  My projects today all feature a new set designed by Nichole called Two Toned.  It's a great basic sentiment/element set that's going to be perfect for pairing with all sorts of other sets in your collection, or used on its own of course.  I love the fonts used in this set, so clean and modern.

The new Two Toned set and coordinating dies, along with any other product mentioned as "new" in today's post will be available for purchase from PapertreyInk.com beginning at 10pm EST on December 15th.

Let me show you my projects using these new stamps and dies...

First up is a girly birthday card, but this design could work for any recipient, just by changing the colors.  I layered the rounded rectangle die from the Two Tones set over a Journal Card #5 die.  When stamping the solid square of color on the top, I inked the stamp with a few shades of pink ink to get a gradient effect.  The sentiment from Two Toned was stamped in True Black ink, and I added a few stamped pink stars from Two Toned as well.

For a little accent I diecut the flourish from the Scribbled Star set, stamped it in Raspberry Fizz ink and colored the stars with a pink marker.  I added a few small single stars cut from Luxe Gold cardstock and stamped with the coordinating images using Versamark ink for a little shine.  I tossed in a few Rainstones as well.

Next up is a little Valentine-y number.  This time I used the hexagon die and solid half-hexagon stamp from the Two Toned set.  I cut the hexagons from watercolor paper and when stamping the solid half hexagon I inked up the stamp, then spritzed with water to create a speckled effect.  I then took a waterbrush and "pulled" a bit of the color into the other half of the hexagon.  When they were dry I stamped the hexagon frame on each and the sentiments.

I adhered the finished hexagons to a panel of watercolor paper which has a bit of a Aqua Mist brushed along the bottom. I added a heart, cut using the Heart Prints dies, and added a little sparkle with some clear and white sequins.

My last card for today is probably my favorite!  This one uses the circle from the Two Toned set.  I diecut four circles from linen cardstock using the circle die in the Two Toned die set, then stamped them with the half-circle image from the set, stamping on both halves of the circle with two different colors.  Then I took one of the stars from the Seeing Stars die set, diecut several from an assortment of cardstocks, cut them in half, and layered them over the stamped circles.

The sentiment is also again from the Two Toned set.  I arranged the circles on a panel of linen cardstock, then stamped a few of the star clusters from the Two Toned set in the open areas, and added a few sequins.  I think it makes a great boy birthday card!  Would be fun to do in all sorts of different color combos!
