Introducing Choose Joy + Twig Wreath...

It's time for group post #2 for the August Papertrey Ink countdown.  The team is featuring a couple of beautiful sets today...a sentiment set inspired by the sweet words and sentiments often shared by Melissa Phillips on her blog, called Choose Joy, and Twig Wreath, a gorgeous set by Heather.

All of these new stamps and dies will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm EDT from the Papertrey Ink website.

Let me show you a few projects using these new sets, and then I have a couple that also incorporate some of my new products coming out this month.

First up is a card using Heather's new Twig Wreath.  Besides the stamps and dies, there is also a gorgeous collection of patterned papers.  I LOVE these papers...the colors Heather used are so pretty.  I diecut the twiggy wreath from the set twice and stamped it using Classic Kraft ink, layered them over a Scene It: Doily Tag base, and added several flowers, berries, and leaves from the set.

The little bird is from the Petite Pots anniversary set.  The sentiment stamped in Fresh Snow inside the wreath is also from Twig Wreath.  Both of the patterned papers used here are from the Twig Wreath patterned paper pad.

Next is a card using the Choose Joy set.  It's filled with so many great sentiments, as well as a few little decorative elements including this sweet heart banner I used here.  I stamped the background using the new Brushed Off set, and stamped the heart banners over the top.

The sentiment was stamped in Smokey Shadow.  I added a few strips of striped vellum, some twine, and a small diecut heart to the corner to finish it off.  Super quick and easy!

Next I thought it might be fun to combine the leaves, acorns, and berries from the new Quilted: Autumn set with Twig Wreath.   They are the perfect complement!

The pretty sentiment inside is from Dawn's new Enclosed: Leaf set.  I'm kind of enjoying the color combo here of Kraft, Dark Chocolate, Scarlet Jewel, Berry Sorbet, Sweet Blush, and Canyon Clay. Still fall-ish, but with a bit of a twist.

My last card for today combines Twig Wreath with the new Shaker Shapes: Pumpkin die and the leaf/berry cluster from Quilted: Autumn.  One of the sentiments from Dawn's new Tucked In: New Home set fits perfectly inside the pumpkin.  I diecut the pumpkin from Linen cardstock and sponged it with Orange Zest ink.  I diecut a couple of the twig wreaths and looped them around the pumpkin...they're the perfect size!

I diecut the autumn cluster from Quilted: Autumn, stamped it, and adhered it to the base of the pumpkin/wreath.  I added a few tiny diecut leaves from the Shaker Shapes: Pumpkin die.  I once again used the bird from the Petite Pots set and perched him on top of the wreath.
