Introducing PomPom Pals and Holiday Thanks...

It's time to kick off another Papertrey Ink countdown!  Over the next five days the team will be showcasing projects made with all of the new stamps and dies being released in November.

Today I get to help introduce two new stamp sets - PomPom Pals, an adorable winter/holiday set that lets you incorporate some dimensional pompoms into your designs, and Holiday Thanks - a great sentiment set designed to help you say thanks for all of the holiday gifts and treats you receive.

All of these new products will be available for purchase beginning at 10pm EST on November 15 from the Papertrey Ink store.  Let me show you a few projects using these new stamps...

First up is a bright, fun card using the penguin image from the PomPom Pals set.  If you're into coloring, you will love these images as they're super fun to color.  I nested him inside the Shaker Shapes Circle frame.  I didn't turn it into a shaker because I wanted to top his hat with a pompom (although it might have been cute to adhere the pompom on the outside of a shaker?).  There are three main images in the set -- a penguin, a snowman, and a reindeer, and each has a place to add a pom-pom (or two).  So fun!

I used a couple of senitments from the Holiday Thanks set to turn this into a thank you card.  I curved the "thank you" stamp so it would fit around the circle frame of the penguin image.   I added the "for the Christmas gift" sentiment towards the bottom, along with a strip of Sparkle & Shine patterned paper.

Next is a fun card using the snowman image from the PomPom Pals set.  I combined it with the Sew Stylish Alphabet 1 dies to spell "snow".

Hello-snow

Instead of using pom-poms on his earmuffs I added some enamel dots instead.  I also used an xacto knife to cut our the ends of his scarf so I could kind of pop it out and layer the "n" under it.  I added a strip of paper from the Sparkle and Shine paper pad - I trimmed away a partial circle so it would nest around the snowman image using the Limitless Layers: 2 1/2" dies.  The sentiment I used is also from PomPom Pals.

Next I used the snowman image again, this time I put it inside one of the clear dome/ornaments.  I used the dies from the Tinsel & Tags kit as a backer.

Snowman-Ornament

I cut out the snowman image using the Limitless Layers: 2 1/2" circle. The ornaments are larger, but he looks pretty cute nestled inside with his pom-pom earmuffs and some sparkly snow.

My last project for today is a holiday thank you card that uses the new Holiday Thanks set along with some new dies...a mini set of Sketched Stars - yay!  Loved the original and love this smaller version just as much.

Star-thank-you

I stamped the "thank you" sentiment multiple times in various red and green inks onto a Rustic White panel, then added a few more sentiments from the set along the bottom of the panel.  I layered it over a whole bunch of Small Sketched Star diecuts and added a few sequins as well.
