Simply Jane Revisited...

It's June!  Summertime is here. And the first of the month means it's time again for a Papertrey Ink Sr Team challenge.  This month we are revisitng the Simply Jane stamp set and coordinating dies...

Simply jane

I have always loved that beautiful ornate frame, the flower bouquet, and of course the classic silhouettes.  I created two cards for you today using elements from the Simply Jane set.  My first card is pretty quick and simple.  I stamped the frame image onto Berry Sorbet cardstock using Berry Sorbet ink and stamped the woman silhouette inside each frame.

I diecut the frame from Stamper's Select White cardstock and stamped it with Berry Sorbet ink.  The thank you sentiment from the set was stamped with Smokey Shadow ink.  I added the small rose stamp/diecut below the sentiment.

My next card has more layers and was a little more involved!  I diecut the frame three times from vellum and heat embossed the coordinating image using white embossing powder.  I layered them over a cardbase with a clear front/white cardstock back.

Inside each frame I placed one of the larger flower bouquets from the stamp set.  The blooms and stems are one stamp and the bow is a separate stamp, but I actually cut them apart so that I could easily stamp the stems in a different color.  I added a strip of Berry Sorbet cardstock to the bottom edge and stamped the same thank you sentiment that I used on the card above, again stamped in Smokey Shadow ink.
