Strawberry Patch Revisited...

Sweet Strawberries1

March is here and it seems to have come in like a lion - I guess that gives me hope for the end of the month?

The first of the month means it's time for the Papertrey Ink Sr Team challenge.  Each month we pull out a previously released set and bring you some fresh new ideas.  This month we are featuring the Strawberry Patch set and dies.  Here is the main Strawberry Patch stamp set...

And the coordinating Strawberry Patch Sentiment set...

Strawberry sentiments

I created a little gift ensemble using these stamps and coordinating dies.  The strawberry crate is something I had in my stash and it would be fun to put some lotions or something in.

For my card, I heat embossed the large strawberry cluster using white embossing powder, then stamped the coordinating strawberries, leaves, and small flower images.  I rolled the strawberries in two shades of pink ink and the leaves in two shades of green to get some shading.  I stamped the "you make life so" sentiment onto an In Stitches banner diecut.  I added a snippet of a Parisian Lace doily to the top corner.  The red stripes in the background were done with the BB: Super Stripes set.

I created a coordinating tag to clip to the basket using some of the individual strawberries from the set.  The base of the tag was cut using the Tag Sale #9 die.  I trimmed off the top tab and stamped both the tab and the tag with one of the pattern blocks in the Strawberry Patch set.  For the clothespin, I trimmed a strip of patterned paper and adhered it to the front of the clothespin and embellished the top with a diecut strawberry.

As for the little felt strawberries, they were created with Papertrey felt and dies - I posted about them HERE!
