Papertrey Ink August 2013 Release Wrap-up...

Well, we've officially come to the end of another great Papertrey Ink release.  All of the new August products will be up in the store tonight at 10pm Eastern.  I have a few (make that a whole bunch!) more projects from the release to share with you today.

I'll start with my favorite.  Maybe I should save my favorite for last, but I like to put it first.  :-)  This card uses the new Bubble Talk stamp set and coordinating dies.

Hi-Phone

I combined it with the Spiral Notebook die stamped with the notebook lines from School Time, and also the phone from Heart-2-Heart #4 and the Loop de Loop border die.  Fun and colorful.  :-)

Next up is a card using the new Mum's the Word stamp set and dies, along with the Autumn Pattern Pieces set.

Mum-Thank-You

I really like the shape and design of these flowers and I'm excited about Autumn Pattern Pieces...I think it's a super-fun background building set!

Next is a fun, cheery card using the new Apple Prints set and dies.  I nested a few of the dies to create the cut-out apples.  I stacked a bunch of them and stitched down the center. I layered it over a Limitless Layers: Heart diecut.

To-the-Core

The tag in the background was stamped with the plaid builder in Autumn Pattern Pieces...it's so fun and easy, I love that pattern!  The border was made with the small apple and seeds from the Apple Prints set.

And then there's the gorgeous Basket of Blessings stamp set.  I stamped the basket image onto True Black cardstock using Vintage Cream ink, then colored it in using some Faber-Castell Paper Crafter's Crayons.

Thank-You-Basket

I really wanted to give it a rustic, folk art look.  The crayons worked well because while the color shows up on the black, it's not bright...it has that rustic look.  I stamped the edges with a border from Sew Simple Borders. I think it would be the perfect thank you card for a Thanksgiving hostess!

Next is that cute little squirrel from the new Nuts for You set.  I'm not sure I did him justice...will have to play around with him a bit more.  He's just too cute.  I paper-pieced him and put him in the embroidery hoop from Stitched Sentiments to resemble a fall stitchery.

Happy-Fall

I also used the new Burlap Impression plate on the background and incorporated some burlap in the hoop.

Last but not least, a card using the latest Boutique Borders set.  This was has a sympathy theme.  I combined it with the new Mighty Oak stamp set.

Sympahty-Tree

I heat embossed the leaves with gold embossing powder, then sponged some Terracotta Tile ink over the top and spritzed with water to get the water droplet effect.  The frame from Boutique Borders: Sympathy was also heat embossed with gold and the sentiment, also from the set was stamped with Terracotta Tile ink.  I used the plaid from the new Autumn Pattern Pieces along the bottom as well.

Whew...that was a lot of projects for one post.  I congratulate you if you made it all the way to the end.  Ready for more?  :-) Be sure to hop around to the other DT girls to see the rest of their projects!
