Hello and welcome to the first group post of the December Papertrey Ink countdown!
Today the team is featuring a couple of new sets, both designed by Nichole. The first one is a fabulous floral set called Embroidered Blooms. Besides the really cool multi-step floral images, the really cool thing is that this set coordinates with some previously released die sets that you may very well already have in your collection -- Beautiful Blooms II and Turning a New Leaf! The second set being showcased today is called Ribbons & Bows -- and just as the name implies, it is filled with beautiful ribbons that you can add to nearly any project.
The new products being featured today will be available for purchase from the Papertrey Ink website as of 10pm EST on December 15th.
I have two projects to share with you today using these new sets. My first card features the new Embroidered Blooms set. Strange as it may sound, this set reminded me so much of this top I have in my closet...
It's just a simple gray and white striped tee, but it has all of these colorful flowers embroidered on it...
I used my top as inspiration for this first project. I chose a gray and white striped paper for the base of my floral bouquet and tried to mimic the colors and layout of the flowers on my t-shirt.
I love the variance of color you can get with these multi-step stamped blooms. So fun! I added some heat embossing to the centers...they almost look like real french knots. I adhered everthing with layers of foam tape for lots of dimension. The sentiment stamped along the side is also from this new set.
My first card is super layered and dimensional, and my second card is a much simpler one layer card.
I stamped the large leaf image from Embroidered Blooms along with several flowers. Then I added the largest bow from Ribbons & Bows over the top and heat embossed it with red powder. I just love how flowy and pretty the ribbon is!
I hope you enjoyed today's peeks! To see more of these sets be sure to stop by the other DT blogs...

I really love that you used the Turning A New Leaf die and put it over some of the flowers. That is so different and really looks great.
