It's group post day #2 for the Papertrey Ink November countdown! Today the team is featuring a fun collection of new products all centered around a knitting theme. There are a couple of stamp sets...one is called Knit Bits and has lots of adorable knitting images, a background, and a "handmade by" tag. There is a coordinating sentiment set called Purls of Wisdom, plus a little $5 set that is full of little stitched borders.
All of these new products will be available for purchase from the Papertrey Ink website as of 10pm EST on November 15th.
For my projects today, I created a card along with a coordinating tag that would be perfect for presenting a hand-knit gift.
I stamped the cable-knit background image from the Knit Bits set onto Ocean Tides cardstock and also impressed it with the Striped Sweater Impression plate that was released last month. The sentiment is from the Purls of Wisdom set.
For a fun touch, I topped the knit panel with the Loop De Loop border die and threaded the hand-cut knitting needles through the loops. Notice the stamped stitching along the edge? That's from the new $5 Sew Simple Borders set.
For the tag I used the new Tag Sale #7 die...I'm really loving all of the parts and pieces to this one..that frame with the corners is just too fun! I can see lots of different images, sentiments, and dies looking great with it. I stamped the word "made" from the Purls of Wisdom set onto a heart diecut and stamped the remainder of the sentiment onto the new banner diecut from the In Stitches die collection.
I hope you enjoyed today's peek at the new knitting themes goodies being released this month...I'm sure even if you're not a knitter (I'm not..I know how to crochet but not knit..always wanted to learn, though) you'll be able to find tons of cute applications for these sets!
If you want to see more inspiring projects using these new products, be sure to hop around to the other DT gals posting today!
