I think we've just about made it to the end of the Papertrey Ink September countdown! There has been a TON to see the last 5 days! It feels like I've been posting all week and I still have SIX projects to share with you today...then it's happy shopping for you all, as of 10pm eastern time tonight!
Without further ado, here are the rest of my September projects..
First, a cute and colorful card using the new Buttons & Bits stamp set. This set is made to coordinate with the Button Bits stamp set collection, but it's super cute all on its own when paired with the Buttoned Up dies.
Die cut paper buttons can feel a little flat, so I used the Buttoned Up dies to emboss my buttons as well. I just ran them through my machine a second time, lining up each diecut button with its next smallest die so that it would emboss a ring just inside the edge...works with the larger two sizes of buttons, but not with the smallest as there is not a size smaller to emboss with (make sense?). I use the same sandwich that I would use with an impression plate. Some of my buttons were just cut from patterned paper and others cut from cardstock and stamped with the new Buttongs & Bits set. The pretty papers are from October Afternoon's Woodland collection (love!!!)
Next up is a card using the newest installment of the Heart-2-Heart collection. Set #8 features some cute little trees that I used on a fall card. So much of this release has been Christmas, but I've still got fall on the brain!
I used the new Loop de Loop border die here along with the Script Alpha dies...kind of liking they way you can line up the ends if you're careful, to make it look like it's part of the script writing!
Next we're moving into winter with a card using the new Mistletoe & Holly set. I created a dreamy watercolor background by heat embossing the mistletoe branches in white powder onto watercolor paper, then inking over with blues and greens. I spritzed it with some water and let the inks blend together.
I hand cut a few mistletoe sprigs and added in some Pine Bough diecuts and white buttons. The sentiment is from Dawn's new Happiest of Holidays set.
How about a bright and colorful card? This one uses the new Happy Harlequin to create a colorful background.
The sentiment is again from Dawn's Happiest of Holidays (I can tell that one's going to be a staple around here!) and the snowflakes are from Snowflake Medley, of course, topped off with some glittery brads.
Next up are some little favors made from Lizzie's new Gingerbread Lane set. I created a small box to attach the diecut gingerbread houses. If there is interest I will put together a template and post it here. I was kind of planning on doing it, but completely ran out of time! If you'd like to see one, let me know and I'll get it put together.
I had a ball decorating these little houses...all the bits and pieces make them so fun! I added a Tiny Tag diecut which was stamped with a sentiment from the Gingerbread set as well. I thought they'd be cute filled with holiday M&Ms and used as table favors.
And last, but not least, I created some shaker tags using Heather's new Winter Snow Globe set. Am I the only one who's dying over how cute that little snowman dude is? I just love him...he looks so happy to be at home in his snowglobe. :-)
I used the Tag Sale #5 die along with some Clearly Creative cardstock and the Limitless Layers 1 3/4" circle die to create these. They're filled with chunky white glitter. So fun to make...I want to make more!
Thanks for reading if you've made it all the way to this point! :-) I hope you enjoyed all of the September countdown festivities and remember, all products I mentioned as "new" in today's post will be available for purchase tonight (September 15, 2012) from the Papertrey Ink website. Your post is the first one I read each month and the one I use to make my shopping list - no pressure :) A tutorial or video featuring your "behind the scenes" process would be an added bonus, so I vote "please". Thank you for sharing these adorable projects; I'm going to visit your etsy shop each day in the hopes that some of these show up. Thanks.

You use way more than your fair share of exclamation points, but you probably already know that, and probably don't even feel badly about it!
There is a new motto in my and my friends' parlance that goes like this; "You haven't seen what that stamp or die can do 'till you've seen Betsy use it". As a person obsessed with all things 'housie', it never occurred to me to put side walls and a roof on the gingerbread house. The color scheme using the 'happy harlequin' and snowflake sets is wonderful and just so Betsy. There we go again - another new motto; "That's just so Betsy". Pretty soon, every sentence (of worth) will include the word Betsy!
