Helloooo! It's time for the second group post of the Papertrey Ink countdown, which means we're getting closer to the 15th and the day you can purchase everything we've been showing this past week!
Today the team is showcasing a new stamp set called Fabulous Frames. It's one of those great universal sets that can be used for both card making and scrapbooking. The coordinating dies make for so many mix and match and building possibilities. It was definitely fun to play with! The new Fabulous Frames stamp set and coordinating die collection will be available for puchase from Papertrey Ink at 10pm Eastern on July 15, 2012.
Once again, Nichole challenged each of us to create a scrapbook page and a card. Let's start with the scrapbook page. The training wheels came off my youngest's bike over the weekend and I got some cute pics of her that I thought would be fun to use for today's page.
She was so excited that she now only has two wheels, just like the big kids, so I used that as inspiration for my title. I used the large polaroid-type frame for my title and turned it sideways. I incorporated lots of layers and added some lettering as well, which was cut using the new Modern Alphabet die (lowercase). I diecut a graphic "2" from the center label using the By the Number dies and backed the negative image with some bright paper. The pointed tab coming out the top is from the new Fabulous Frames die collection, as is the coordinating image it's stamped with and the "take note" sentiment.
In the lower right corner of the page, I put a cluster of frames in which I pute 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" photos. I diecut the banner image, also from the new Fabulous Frames die set, and added some journaling onto them. The numbers on the bottom of the frames were cut with the new Modern Alphabet Numbers dies. I created the circular frames around the numbers with circle punches (1" and 3/4").
See what I mean? Lots of different layering and pairing options. I feel like I just got the tip of the iceburg!
As for my card, I used some of the paper scraps laying on my table after creating the scrapbook page. I layered a pretty diecut and stamped rose from the new The Sweet Life set over the large frame and added the banner and pointed tab image.
"I'm here for" is from the All About You set and the "you" is from Simply You. I think these two sets work great together and having both exands the sentiment font combinations!
Thanks for stopping by today! You can check out what the rest of the team did with the new Fabulous Frames goodies!
