Happy Friday! Can I just take a moment to express how happy I am about the fact that it's Friday? It has seriously been one of the busiest weeks ever around here. It's the marathon we call June. I'm just trying to take it one day at a time...and actually that's even a bit much sometimes. It's more of an hour by hour sort of thing. :-)
Today I have some fun stuff to share with you though! Have you all heard about the online event that Papertrey Ink is hosting on July 21? It's going to be just like going back to summer camp...except we're replacingthe bug bites and crummy beds with pretty stamps and paper crafting goodies. Sounds good to me. Click HERE for a complete list of the various activities scheduled for that day!
One of the great things about Papertrey's special events are the exclusive stamp sets. And that's what I'm here to talk to you about today! The exclusive set for this year's Stamp-a-Faire event is called Natural Beauties. Everyone that places an order of $100 or more on Stamp-a-Faire day (July 21) will receive this gorgeous set free of charge!
Today I get to share a project using this exclusive set. It's a super fun set to play around with...so many different layering possibilites. I went for a very soft, feminine look for today's card, but these layered flowers can go very bold and dramtic too, depending on the ink colors you choose.
The flower in the upper left corner was stamped with Sweet Blush with Berry Sorbet layered over the top, along with some Spring Rain, Summer Sunrise and Pure Poppy in the center. The flowers along the bottom were just stamped with the line image in Berry Sorbet (I omitted the solid background flower) for a light, airy feel. I combined this set with some brand new Fancy Pants papers from a collection called Time for Spring. It will be showing up in stores soon and I have a few more projects to share using this line over the next few days. ETA: I just noticed Scrapbook.com already has it in stock HERE! Yay!
Thanks for stopping by today! I'd better get moving...we've got a birthday party here later today! I hope you have a great weekend!
P.S. Just a little news...I've started doing a bit of design work for Anna Griffin. In my spare time. :-) If you'd like to get your hands on some of their beautiful products, they're having a Super Sale this weekend...here's the info...
P.P.S. Dee over at The Scrappy Gourmet put together a few more of my Happy Day card kits, so if you were one of those looking to grab one of these, you're in luck! She has so many other great kits available now as well, so you might want to snoop around a bit while you're there!

Beautiful card, Betsy! Af first, I thought you were giving us a sneak peek of the hexagon set, but then I realized that it was FP patterned paper that you used on your card!
Congratulations on designing for Anna Griffin!
