It's time for the annual Anniversary celebration over at Papertrey Ink. They are celebrating 5 years this month! The next 10 days are going to be filled with fun challenges, product reveals and amazing givaways, so get ready!! Today the team is posting about their favorite Papertrey products and projects from the past year.
Nichole challenged us each to pick our top 5 Papertrey products (be sure to check out Nichole's blog where she's giving away a collection of the entire team's favorites!!!). Here's my list and why I love each one!
- Rustic Cream cardstock - I love the sublte rustic touch it gives my project
- Poppy Baker's Twine - Red is my favorite project and I can't seem to go too long without creating something with the Poppy Baker's Twine wrapped around it our tied to some buttons!
- Half & Half stamp set - I adore the layout of the sentiments in this set - the mix of fonts and little accents. They are perfect for so many projects!
- Half & Half dies - I reach for these so much! They are great for adding sentiments and embellishments.
- Label Basics stamp set - Truly a basic that I can't seem to craft without -- again, so perfect for adding sentiments. I especially love the angled labels in the set.
Nichole also challenged us to pick a favorite project from 2011. When looking back through the entire last year, I just kept going back to this set of cards I did back in June for one of the Design Team Tips newsletters. You can see the original post HERE.
I had so much fun creating them...maybe that's why I like them...it was just plain stamping fun!
Now for a little rambling (feel free to move on if you're not in the mood to read the mushy-gooshy stuff )...I was asked to join the Papertrey Ink team back in September 2008...I can still clearly remember the day I got Nichole's email and how over the moon excited I was! I had admired the company quietly and from afar since their very beginning and could never have imagined being asked to join the team...I wasn't even much of a stamper back then (maybe I'm still not??)! I really couldn't imagine why Nichole would want me on her team! I have learned so much since then...and I still have so much to learn...and I'm grateful that Nichole would take a chance on me.
I have enjoyed working on every release since then...all 41 of them! Along with 4 anniversary celebrations, lots of newsletter projects, Make it Monday videos, the first ever Stamp-a-Faire event and so much more. It's been a blessing working for them.
Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to visit the rest of the team to check out their favorite products and projects, and of course Nichole's blog to leave a comment for that big prize package!

Betsy, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the creative inspiration and beaty you provide. At Christmas, my husband thinking he would surprise me with something crafty, googled your name to see if there was a product that you endorsed because I am always saying "You wouldn't believe what Betsy made" or "I can't believe how creative Betsy is" or "Well, Betsy makes me want this stamp set" My husband knows two names in the stamping world--Nichole and Betsy. So yes, you are very important in our home.

Oooh, that was one of my favorites of yours, too!! I discovered your blog in January 2009. My youngest was just starting to walk and I was just starting to homeschool my oldest (kindergarten). I felt like life was a tsunami barreling toward me and I was about to be buried by it. When I stopped reading almost all blogs for a while, I *never* stopped reading yours. Your projects are such an inspiration - and for me, they are...well, they're just HAPPY. I never look at your blog without smiling (and thinking, "Oh I need that!"). And when I was in the midst of a new-to-me crazy part of my life - coming to your happy place was a great part of my days. You truly were the inspiration that got me back into paper crafting almost a year ago - and I don't say that to throw roses at your feet - it is The Truth. :) And now, I get to enjoy it with my PTI lovin' oldest child (who just turned 9) which is just a whole 'nother level of fun. Thanks for being the bright spot in some of my dark days and bringing me back to something that I enjoy.

Betsy, since you are sharing your favorites I thought I would let you know what my all time favorite is from your blog. Your pillow project for your daughter's room are my absolute favorite. They are so colorful and so pretty. I have them bookmarked and titled "Betsy's pillows." Thanks for sharing so much.

Betsy, I just wanted to thank you for all the great tips, projects and tutorials you share with all of us. Your blog is certainly one of my favorites as well as your published work. You always have such unique and creative ways of using the various products and opening our eyes to ways of using them to get the most from our tools and supplies. Thanks again and I'm very excited and looking forward to another great year with you & PTI!

Oh Betsy, you always make such amazing things! Your color choices are one of the first things that inspire me. And there are so many details to see! I can certainly see why Nichole asked you, you've got designer jeans I tell you...or is that genes?! Lol

Betsy, I loved that card set when you originally did it and I chose your project to CASE for today's contest. As I said on my blog, I am totally in awe of you and all the rest of the DT, not just for your absolutely wonderful design sense and projects, but also the incredible productivity of you and all the DT! It takes me forever to come up with an idea and another eternity to bring it to fruition. You must have creativity flowing through your veins! Thank you for all the inspiration you provide throughout the year!
