Happy Monday! Crazy, but I've said it before....I love Mondays. It's the fresh start to a new week. Ususally I feel rested after Sunday...not so much the case today with a little one up half the night with an ear ache and another one up because of the thunder. Maybe I'll sneak in a nap today. ha! right. :-)
I had a bridal shower to attend this past weekend and I thought I'd share the card I created. I don't know the bride real well, she is marrying a cousin of mine, but she doesn't strike me as the traditional pastel, lacey, umbrella type girl, so I went a little out of the typcial bridal shower norm for her card. Based on her regristry items, I gathered she loves deep, rich colors and things with a vintage vibe...
I used some pretty papers from Basic Grey's Hello Luscious collection....one of my all time favorites...and paired it with a great sentiment from PTI's Beautiful Blessings. That is such a great sentiment set -- so fitting for so many different occasions! I topped it off with a Tim Holtz label and some new Fancy Pants chipboard letters which are the perfect size for cardmaking! Lots of chipboard letters are larger, meant more for scrapbooking, but I think these are perfect for cards. Happy day!
Thanks for stopping by! I'd better get busy...on the agenda today a preschool checkup for Katie, which I'm sure is going to involve several needles. yuck. And then maybe a sewing project...some little backpacks I've been wanting to make for the girls, and maybe a trip to the flower store...I just realized it's late June and I haven't planted a single flower! Bad me!

Betsy, can I tell you that it makes me feel so much better knowing that I am not the only person who hasn't managed to get to the garden centre and plant a flower this year? Anyway, I love you card...so nice to see one that is out of the ordinary which, actually, is something that you usually manage to do (for me anyway).
Have a great day.
