Hello! It's the 1st of the month and if you're a Papertrey Ink fan, you know what that means! It's time once again for the Senior Design Team challenge. This month Nichole challenged the team to focus on our favorite ribbon technique. Sooo... first off, you all know that for me that means BOWS! I love big fluffy bows and use them all the time. I get lots of questions on how I tie my bows.
And, well...that's kind of hard to show in a photograph.
Try as I might, I couldn't tie a bow with one hand on the ribbon and the other holding my camera.
I tried to think of a way to grow a third arm overnight. That didn't work, but after it's all said and done, it very well could have been easier than this undertaking.
So, after all other attempts failed, I made you a video.
And there's really only one rule that you need to follow as you watch this video.
No laughing.
(Don't you hate the sound of your own voice on tape?)
So in this video, I'm going to show you how I tie my bows and embellish with buttons....
And also how I made the cute little flower embellishments on this card using some scraps of ribbon. If you're like me, you have a whole jar full of ribbon bits that you can't bear to part with.
So, without further ado....please excuse the quality...it's obviosly not the best, coming from my little old digital camera that also happens to take video. If this is something I'm going to keep doing *gasp* I'll need to get something else, but for now....please forgive the mess that is this video.
Enjoy!
And be sure to hop around to the other gals to see their fabulous ribbon tips!

It turned out wonderfully Betsy! :) We all feel awkward when being recorded, but you did a great job! I love that you are all about "fluffing" your bows, too. I totally smiled when I read that b/c I'm so obsessed with "fluffing" my bows! lol... Thanks for sharing!

I didn't laugh as I watched the video, but I did smile. It was the cards' fault though. They are so colorful and happy that I couldn't help smiling. I don't remember seeing the three buttons wrapped around the bow before, but I will remember it from now on. I love how it looks. Thanks, Betsy.

Betsy thank you so much for sharing your fabulous ribbon techniques. I love ribbons and don't think my cards are complete without one - or two or three. Any male lucky enough to receive one of my hand made cards just has to get over it! :D Thanks again!
