Welcome to the first ever Go-to Gal Designer Challenge! The six of us got to meet up last week in Utah for the annual Paper Crafts editorial board meeting. What a sweet treat it was to see them all again, chat, laugh, eat, laugh some more, and brainstorm!
As a group we decided that we will hold a designer challenge on the last Wednesday of every month, featuring products that we're loving at the moment!
I've got lots to share today, as well as a challenge for you! Today was my day to blog over on the Paper Crafts Connection blog and my post is all about the bonus online inspiration from Go-to Sketches! As if this issue doesn't have enough inspiration on its own, there are even more goodies online! Check out my Paper Crafts Connection post to read all about it. My post there features a card based on this exclusive online sketch...
So hop on over to check it out! You can comment on my Paper Crafts Connection post for a chance to win three of my cards based on this sketch...the "Be Mine" card in the Go-to Sketches online section, the card from my Paper Crafts Connection post, plus the card here in my post today, also based on this sketch!
As I mentioned earlier, the six Paper Crafts Go-to Gals are challenging eachother, featuring products that we're lovin' on. This month's challenge was to use the beautiful cardstock from Couture Cardstock. I used their pretty Red Carpet line which has the most beautiful shimmery shine! It's a little hard to capture that pretty shine in a photo, but I hope you can get an idea. Be sure to check out Jessica, Kim K, Kim H, Teri, and Maren to see what they did with the cardstock collections!
The sun and clouds were cut using my Cricut and the Couture Cardstock...it cuts beautifully with the Cricut!
SO! My challenge to you, if you'd like to play along, is to create your own card based on the sketch above. This is one of my favorite sketches that I created for this issue! I think there are so many possibilities for what you can fill that oval with and the two hanging flowers could be just about anything! Just check out the Go-to Sketches online section to see the creative things that the designers did with this sketch!
I also have a fun prize! When we were all in Utah last week we got to tour the Doodlebug office. What a fun and colorful experience! Did you know they were the exclusive sponsor for Go-to Sketches?? How cool is that?!
After our visit, they gave each of us a Go-to Sketches card kit which will allow you to complete all 18 of the Doodlebug cards featured in this issue! I'd love to share mine with one random participant! This kit is valued at $34.99!
So, the rules. Create a card based on the sketch at the beginning of this post. Upload a link to your card using Mr. Linky by midnight EST on Tuesday, May 4th. I will select one random winner to receive the Doodlebug card kit!
Have fun!

I was wondering if you had any idea of any stores that carry the go to sketch magazine. I don't want to buy a subscription at this time.
Thanks,
Karey
