Did you all have a great weekend? It was pretty quiet around here, which was good since I'm feeling a little under the weather. Just a nasty spring cold with a nagging cough that's keeping me up at night. ugh!
But, anyway, I hope you've been having fun creating! I have one last diecut challenge for you! Today's challenge is to create a shaped card using a diecut as a base.
Here is a sweet little bunny turned into a shaped card. I used my Gypsy to weld them together and cut as one piece, but if you don't have software for your machine, you could put a little adhesive at the top, or stitch them together.
And your card doesn't necessarily have to be an object...I could be just a pretty shape. Like this card where I used a Nestie label as the base... I put a little adhesive on the left edges and adhered them together. You could also stitch them.
Here are a few more ideas for shaped cards...
This cloud shaped card was published in the Mar/Apr 2009 issue of Paper Crafts.
This cute popsicle was also published in a 2009 Paper Crafts issue...
And, this one was never published, but still kinda fun for an "I forgot your birthday" kinda card....
Well, what do you say? Wanna play along? Deadline for all of my diecut challenges is Tuesday night at midnight. If you play along with any of the challenges, just leave a comment on the appropriate post! I'm going to be checking out all of your projects in a bit!! Can't wait to see what you've created.

I {heart} 3-D cards and shaped cards! Here is what I decided to make to send a special thank you to all the Guest DT members over at The Shabby Tea Room ... I have one waiting for you as soon as I get your address!!!

Wanna hear something really weird...I was looking through old Papercrafts Magazines less than an hour ago and saw the cloud and Popsicle cards! The whole time I was looking at them I was thinking how cute they were and how I needed to venture into making "odd-shaped" cards! Now that is freaky.

Okay, this was my first time for a shaped card...the hardest part I found was adhering the two pieces!

I REEEEAAAALLLLYY have to make myself learn to use my Gypsy more! I'd love to do welding...as a matter of fact, that's one of the MAIN reasons I bought it, and months later, I still don't know how to use it. Did you teach yourself or have help?
