I often wonder how many people wonder about the name of my little blog....sometimes when I think back, I wish I would've chose something prettier or classier for my blog name, but this just fits us. I love to share bits and pieces of our life along with my paper creations, and super heroes are such a part of our everyday life. I mean, I know Batman's birthday for pete's sake. How many of you can say that? But, what fun is life without heroes that can fly, and drive cool contraptions and rid the world of any sort of bad guy you could imagine with just the lift of a finger? Ahhh.. the wonderful imagination of children. I hope they never loose it. If you want to read the original story of my blog name, you can read it here, from when I started this blog almost 2 years ago (has it been that long??? Crazy!).
It's funny how lots of things haven't changed in nearly two years. Here....see what I mean? This is what I had running around my house today. Sometimes I swear my kids spend more time in costume than normal clothing. :-) We got to spend some fun time with cousins today that we rarely see. The kids had a blast...and aparently love superheroes as much as my own do. (I LOVE the expression on the littlest one's face....TOTALLY cracks me up!!!)
On to a card...another using Papertrey's new Cupcake collection. I'm addicted, I know. This one has a shabby feel...
Stamps: Cupcake Collection
Ink: Fresh Snow, True Black
Cardstock: Pure Poppy, Aqua Mist
Patterned paper: Black and White Basics
Other: Hibiscus Saddlestitch ribbon, Lemon Tart Swiss Dot ribbon, Lemon Tart and Aqua Mist buttons, Fancy Pants chipboard, Zva Creative gems
And just a card for fun, using some new stuff I picked up at A Walk Down Memory Lane...Cosmo Cricket and October Afternoon papers....my two most favoritest paper companies. They both have that fun style, bright colors, with just a touch of a vintage feel. Perfectly my style. LOVE the new Cherry Hill from October Afternoon. It's so adorable and I am so in to anything with cherries lately!!
Stamps: Cupcake Collection
Ink: Pure Poppy
Cardstock: Sweet Blush
Patterned papers: October Afternoon, Cosmo Cricket
Other: October Afternoon label, Papertrey Black Saddlestitch ribbon, My Mind's Eye icecream diecut, DCWV brad, glittler, Hibiscus button
It's been a fun day here with family and a busy weekend ahead. I hope you're having a SUPER one too!

Love your super sweet cards and all the superheroes in that picture! :> My son has the Batman costume on the left with the mask in the middle and I smile everytime he comes out of his room wearing it......well, almost everytime...not so much when he's supposed to be changing into jammies and suddenly Batman appears to save the day! :>

First comment on your blog, Betsy. Got hooked on your style via PTI. Just want you to know I do so love your work...your mixture of bright, fresh colors and pretty patterns. I always look forward to seeing your new creations. My kids too love costumes. Santa brought my daughter 10 or so dresses in a trunk for Christmas. (I think he must have found some good deals after Halloween.) She was delighted!! My 10 yr. old started it all and younger brother and sister have agreed...it's the best kind of fun. (And mommy knows it's the best kind of play) I'll be so sad to see these days go. The 10 yr. old is starting to get a little concerned about what's cool and what's not...I hate to see it coming but I know it must. Enjoy it all while it lasts!! Have a great day! Thanks again for sharing your talent! Geri
