Happy Mother's Day to all of you! I hope you had a fabulous and relaxing day and got to be spoiled rotten! I've got a fun project for you tonight that I've been so excited to share with you! The May Papertrey countdown is under way and tonight we are showcasing the new, soon-to-be-released Star Prints. Love this set! Very similar in nature to the popular Heart Prints which was released in December. The stars in this set work with the Fiskars star punch which will also be available through the PTI site starting on the 15th. So fun! And you will love the sentiments in this set! And the super-cool font too!
The design team was challenged to showcase the many, many occasions that are perfect for stars! I chose to use the set to create a feminine adult birthday gift. I created a little birthday treat-to-go box. The set includes some yummy decorated bottles of Jones Soday (Fufu Berry...yummmmm!), some chocolate chip cookies all wrapped up in glassine bags and a couple of bejeweled straws. Everything fits perfectly in two From the Desk Of templates adhered back-to-back. The birthday girl can grab her special someone and enjoy a treat! I gave it a sort of picnic feel and used lots of bright colors.
I combined the sentiments from Star Prints with a birthday sentiment from Birthday Basics...
The coordinating card...
I've been spending most of my time trying to stop Julia from crackin' these open...
You couldn't drink out of those cute bottles with just an ordinary straw....
Stamps: PTI Star Prints, Birthday Basics
Ink: New Leaf, Hibiscus, Melon Berry
Cardstock: Hibiscus, Vintage Cream
Ribbon: Hibiscus Grosgrain, Melon Berry Grosgrain
Patterned paper: Friends Til the End, DCWV (green gingham)
Other: Melon Berry and New Leaf buttons, From the Desk Of Timeless Template, Fiskars Star punch, Large Glassine bags, Jute, Marvy scallop oval punches
Ok, I think that's all for my project! Be sure to hop around to all the other designer's blogs and check out their awesome projects! I'm sure they're out of this galaxy, super spectacular and guaranteed to have you seeing stars!

What a darling ensemble! Love the details down to the uber cool straws for consuming! :-) Love it!

I was checking links on a newsletter from Hemidemisemiquaver's post today and I visited you. I love your card today. It is so pretty and helps me with a problem I am studying, like how to mix patterns. Thanks for sharing. I will be back.

You bring such style and elegance to each and everyone of these sets and use some of my most favorite colors.

Betsy you are so creative. What I love best about you is that you have a style that is all your own. So many have become cookie cutter designers. I appreciate all of your original designs and ideas, TFS
