Lots of different things today...today is our 11th anniversary! My husband actually has the day off, so we've just been kind of hanging around home.... so nice to be able to spend the day together!
Yesterday was field trip day and we had a great time, despite the rain. It was fun to get out and spend the day with Jonathan and his class. I love to see them interact with their friends. Gives you a whole new perspective of their day-to-day life away at school. We visited a Pipestone quarry and museum. We also stopped at a gift shop and picked up a few fun little things. I found this beaded ring that just makes me happy! It's my favorite color and Isn't that flower fun? I really should learn to bead and make my own...wouldn't those make fun emellies for cards and stuff?
Next up is a fabric project I mentioned the other day. Provo Craft asked me to do a home decor project...something fun, different and classy. I'm hoping this fit the bill....
I cut the fabric appliques with my Cricut using the new Home Decor cartridge. It was so easy...just iron the fabric to heavy-duty Heat 'n Bond and cut away. I love the Home Decor cart...so many classy images. And the machine cut through the fabric with such a neat, clean edge. This could be addicting!! I'm seeing fabric flower embellies, butterlies...who knows. :-)
And, finally, a card for today...
Lots of different things here...and probably as close to a single-layer card as I get. :-) I used the new Text Background on the edges, just inking it partially. I love the way it turned out, and then spritzed the whole thing with a bit of Glimmer Mist...
Stamps: Fancy Flourishes, Friends til the End, Background Basics: Text Style
Ink: New Leaf, Smokey Shadow, Melon Berry
Cardstock: Vintage Cream, Summer Sunrise
Patterned paper: Green Tea Leaves
Other: Aqua Mist, New Leaf and Melon Berry buttons, Bazzill flower, brad, jute
Ok, off for some supper with the family and early to bed with these kiddos. It's been a busy week wrapping up all the school activities and they are officially wiped out (and cranky!!). Have a happy and safe holiday weekend!

You are SOOO multitalented, my friend. Those pillows are to die for! And I adore the card. ;)

Your pillows look like they're from a store like Pottery Barn! Wow! I love your card, too. The flourish makes a great stem for the flower.

Your card is awesome too, I love the shabby look and the antique look..

Oh my goodness! I have been loving all of the cards and paper projects on your blog, but our pillows are amazing! I might have to try cutting fabric in my silhouette. I know my Sizzix will cut it. So cool. You may have given me a new addiction too!

So pretty! I've always wondered how the Cricut would do with fabric--seems like such a waste not to use it for a project like yours.
Hope your anniversary day is a good one.
