Are you ready for a party? I am so excited about what the next two weeks is going to bring for Papertrey Ink! Nichole and the DT is kicking off the party in true PTI style with some fabulous give aways. Each DT member is going to share a project using their favorite PTI set and guess what? You can win one! See the details at the bottom of this post!
I am so excited to share my project with you. I chose the newly released Simply Stationery as my (current) favorite set. That was a HARD decision. :-) I chose it because I think there are just SO many uses for a set like this. Besides it's original intention...hand-stamped stationery of course, those pretty frames and circles in this set can be used for almost anything. I used it to create a mini album in a tin. Little Katie is learning all her little parts...eyes, nose, ears, and of course her very favorite...her tummy! She loves to play the little game where she points to the parts as I say them. We save her tubby little tummy for last of course, and finish it off with lots of tickles. She actually cooperated for me the other day and I managed to catch a picture of her pointing to each one! And you all know that those little ones don't usally let you catch things like that on camera, so I was excited! I cropped the photos into small circles and used those pretty circular stamps as frames. Then I used the solid circles along with the Fresh and Simple alphabets to create a title for each page.
This one of her tummy is my favorite. Cuz you know it's not good enough to just point to your tummy...you have to get beneath all the layers and see the whole thing in it's glory. Super cute when she does it, not so much when she thinks Mommy should too. Yikes. :-)
Here are all of the pages spread out. I used some pretty Heather Bailey papers from Autumn Leaves which I'm totally addicted to. They match the PTI colors perfectly. Yum.
Here is a close up of one of the titles. I love those solid circles.
Stamps: PTI Simply Stationery, Fresh Alphabet, Simple Alphabet, Favor it Baby
Ink: Lavender Moon, Summer Sunrise, Raspberry Fizz, Spring Moss, Pure Poppy, Aqua Mist
Cardstock: Lavender Moon, Lemon Tart, Raspberry Fizz, Spring Moss, Aqua Mist
Ribbons: Aqua Mist Twill, Ripe Avocado Twill, Aqua Mist Swiss Dot, Spring Moss Swiss Dot, Raspberry Fizz Twill, Lavernder Moon Grosgrain
Other: PTI Hing-top Tin, Autumn Leaves patterned paper, white acrylic paint, buttons, flowers, jute, 1" circle punch, corner rounder
So, you wanna win a Simply Stationery set? I know you do. :-) Just leave a comment on this post telling me what YOUR favorite PTI set is. Post your comments before 12:00am EST on Febrauary 2nd and a winner will be randomly chosen. Nichole will list all of the winners here on her blog sometime after midnight Feb 2.
Oh, and you'll be sure to want to do a litle blog-hopping around to all the other PTI girls to check out their projects and a chance to win their favorites! Happy 2nd Birthday PTI! :-)
