Hi all! It's Friday! Yesterday my little girl and I took the whole day making bright, cheerful mini cupcakes. We had such fun. She was the official sprinkler. And no, it's not her birthday, but she must have been feeling festive, so she put on her birthday crown she got at school the other day when they celebrated her half-birthday. Oh, and just for your information, one standard cake mix makes 70 mini cupcakes. yikes. :-)
And, well of course when we finished baking and decorating them, we needed to pretty them up even more by making some pretty little boxes to put them in. I cut the boxes using my Cricut Expression and the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge. I had to alter the box a bit in the Design Studio Software to make it just a bit deeper to accomodate the cupcakes, but other than that it worked perfectly! They are approximately 9" x 7" and hold one dozen mini cupcakes. I covered the cut-out window in the top with a transparency sheet. I added a fun little diecut cupcake to the top which I cut using the Doodlecharms cartridge. We boxed up 5 dozen and brought them away to our winter bakesale and auction at school. :-)
Well, I better be off to get something accomplished today. Thanks for stopping by!
