Happy Valentine's day everyone! We are doing nothing special here... the roads are terrible and it is so cold! But, dh brought home a Bind-it-All for me - so excited! I wonder how he new I wanted one? Hmm.. maybe it was the subtle hints I've been dropping, or maybe it was that link to Lisa's store, which you should really check out, she's got so many awesome goodies and you know the best part?? She lives just a few blocks from me and I can go there and pick up my order!! Dangerous. Anyway, I'm so excited to play around with my new toy. Maybe tomorrow. :-)
Well, here are the cards I had promised to share that I made during the on-line crop at Self-Addressed.
The first was done for an "Old and New" challenge. The challenge was to use one of the oldest things from your stash along with one of the newest things in your stash together on a project. The tiny buttons were my old item. They were pale pastels and I colored them with some permanent markers to give them a little life! I paired them with some KI lace cardstock and KI soft charms.
The next one was done for a challenge to "Make a Set". I made this set of 4 birthday cards using a diecut cupcake from one of my Cricut cartridge and sweetened it up with some sequin sprinkles. I even made a little box to match. :-)
The next card was for an "Out of the Box" challenge...to create a card in any shape other than a square or a rectangle. I cut this interesting shape using my Cricut and thought it would make a pretty sympathy card.
And... last, but not least was this card which I made for a challenge to lift a design from the latest Self-Addressed newsletter. I chose to lift Melanie D's little heart-flower. I put mine on a card instead of in a cute little vase like she did.
Well, that's all for tonight. I'm off to finish cleaning my scraproom so I can be all set to create some things with the February Self-Addressed kit which is scheduled to land on my doorstep tomorrow. hooraaaay! :-) Night all!
