New photos....

Don't you just love having some fun new photos to play around with?  I do.  I took over three hundred photos over the weekend and it seems like nothing makes me itch to scrap more than new photos.  But, first I had to get a little work out of the way.  I worked on some Provo Craft projects the last few days, so I thought I'd share what I came up with.

Garden Girl Layout First is a layout of the Bugs (that's what we all have come to call Katie :) ) Yes, I snuck in a photo from this past weekend.  I just couldn't resist.  We stopped at this beautiful park/garden on the way home to let the kids run for a while and there were such Garden Girl Layout - Detail2 pretty spots for photos.  I used the Accent Garden Girl Layout - Detail1 Essentials cart to cut the background design.  That adorable bird is from the Indie Art cart (isn't he cute?).

Next up is a card.  The flowers and birds are from the 50 States cartridge...when they first sent me that Faith Card cart I had no idea what I'd ever use it for, but then I looked through the book and there are so many wonderful flowers and birds.  Each state's bird and flower are on the cart as well as the flags, which actually have some really fun components that could be Faith Card - Detail1 used for lots of other things.  :-)  The background of the card is embossed with the Cuttlebug music embosser and the label is also a Cuttlebug die.

And lastly is a little altered project.  I picked up this large wooden crate at the dollar store and altered it Farm Fresh Apple Box up a bit.  I thought it would make a fun fallish home decor piece.  I used Sassafras papers and Cricut vinyl for the apples and letters.  Those adorable Farm Fresh Apple Box-Side View apples are from the Home Accents Solutions cartridge...which is fast becoming one of my favorite carts.  :)

Well, I better run...Katie came down with a fever this evening and I hear her starting to fuss.  Poor girl.  Have a good night.  :-)

The Dress.....check!

Thank you all for your wonderful help.  51 reminders...wow, you girls are good...that was about 50 less than from my mom though.  haha!  :-)  As for the goodies....the Random Number Generator selected comment #41 from Deah:

Particularly love that deep brown & cream architectural paper mixed with the yellow..lovely! =)

Don't forget the dress..or the coloring books..or the sippy cups.. ;) Hope you have a wonderful time!

Deah, I just sent you an e-mail.  :-)

So, everything went well, we had a great time, the kids did so well on the long ride.  Katie's tooth came in the afternoon before we left, so she was in a much happier mood.  Julia did just perfect through rehersal and the wedding and everything.  She looked so adorable and I was so proud of her!  I thought I'd better share a pic with you all, since you were such a wonderful help.  My mom made the dress and although it brought her near to tears a few times since it was a really difficult pattern, she did a beautiful job and it turned out just perfect.  It was almost identical to the bride's.

DSC_0141-2-small And, here a just a few little cards I made before we left.   The first one uses some American Crafts goodies.  The second uses some of the new Tinkering Ink Beau Jardin line...just released at CHA this past weekend.

Welcome Little One Well, thanks again for all of your help and comments.  I really appreciate it!  I hope you are all off to a wonderful start to your week.  I'm off to catch up, clean up and maybe get some laundry done.  :-)

Don't forget the dress...

So.  We are traveling to a family wedding this weekend.  Four hundred miles one way.  My daughter's the flower girl and I am so worried I am going to forget her dress!  I have it hanging in a closet that no one ever looks in because I didn't want anyone coming near it.  But now I'm kind of paranoid that we're going to get there (after 7 long hours in a car with our teething one-year-old) and I'm going to realize that I forgot the dress.  So....here's the deal.  Can I get you to help?  Leave a comment on my blog and when the little comment message lands in my inbox, I'll be reminded...."Don't forget the dress".  And as a thanks for your help I will randomly select a name from the comments between now and when I get back on Monday and I will send out some fun goodies.  I have a set of Ashville papers from Scenic Route, a pack of In Stitches by Bazzill and a set of Inque Boutique stamps.  Thanks a bunch.  :-)

RAK

And here are a few projects for you to peek at....just for fun using some American Crafts goodies.  I have been lovin' this Spring and Summer line since it came out and finally took a little time to play around with it.  I used my Cricut along with the Design Studio software to create the cloud-shaped card.  I am loving shaped cards lately and have been meaning to sit down and just create a bunch of them to keep on file in my Cricut Design Studio software to just cut away when I want to make one...maybe next week.  :-)

Have a Beautiful Day

And here's a layout using some of the Spring and Summer chipboard along with a whole mix of other American Crafts goodies.  I love this photo of my baby girl...back from when she was 7 months.  She's so much bigger already I can hardly believe it!

Well, that's all for today... I better get packing.  Just remember to remind me...don't forget the dress.  :-)  Have a good weekend!

Craving icecream...

my middle daughter and I have developed a love affair with Snicker icecream bars this summer.  There's a little dollar store just a few block from us that keep a supply of the jumbo ones in their little freezer.  Julia and I have gotten into a nasty little habit of running to get one to share in the evenings if the boys are gone.  We didn't do that tonight and now I'm craving one.  Darn things.  Much too yummy.

Speaking of yummy... the July gallery is up at Lime Tart.  And it is full of yummy, scrappy goodness.  I posted some peeks last week, but here are some full views of a few of my projects. Be sure to visit the Lime Tart Gallery for tons of inspiration from the DT.  Click on the links at the top of the page to view the different kit galleries.  :-)

Beau Jardin and a little Christmas in July

Hi all... just popping in for a minute.  The kiddos want to go to the pool, so I better make this fast.  :-)   I have some layouts to share using the new Beau Jardin line from Tinkering Ink.  This is a super fun line... I love the unique twist of the navy blue with the brighter colors and the bit of periwinkle.  So pretty!  I found when working with this line that it can take on so many different looks....soft and feminine or bold and  Summer - TI Jardinbright,Play - TI Jardin depending on how you mix the patterns.  It's  really a fun line to play around with.  Love Butterfly and Beads CardHere are a few  layouts and cards I made with this Love Butterfly and Beads Card-detail line.  You can go to the Tinkering Ink Blog and Beau Jardin gallery to see the amazing things the other design team members created with this line.

Next, I have a layout to share that uses some of the new patterns from the Yuletide line.  This was a line First Noel that Tinkering Ink released last summer, but they have added a few more patterns to the line... a few smaller prints that make this line even mroe versatile.  I love the colors of this classic holiday line.

Well, that's all for today.  I'll be back tomorrow with more Tinkering Ink goodies.  Thanks for stopping by!

Fireworks, sunshine and frog races...

These were just a few of the things we saw over our holiday weekend.  We had a wonderful time, I hope you did too!  Now we're back home and ready for another week.  Lots of things to share tonight....

First off, the little secret is out.... so pleased to say that I have been given the opportunity to design with the always wonderful Lime Tart kits!  Lime Tart is an Australian based monthly kit club which is now available in the US through Just Johanna's Odd Bird Planet.  July is their frist month, so get yours while they last!  I'm not sure you had heard the news, but June was the last month for the Self-Addressed kits (sniff-sniff), but I am so excited that Johanna and Philippa have scooped up our little dt family and given us a new home designing with the Lime Tart kits.  I hope to have some little sneak peeks of some projects with the July kit by the end of the week.  :-)

Next, I have a few more projects to share with you using the July Bilbouquet kit from ScrapMagie.  Such gorgeous colors Marina put in this kit.  So very summery.  First off is a layout of my three kiddos.  The Betsy Veldman - Follow the Leader older two love playing with their baby sister and Betsy Veldman - Follow the Leader-Detail they will humor her with just about anything.  They played follow the leader at the park the other day...it was so funny.  :-)

Oh Happy Day Butterfly Card And here is a card using the kit.... I used some of the beautiful Prima flowers from the kit to make the butterflies.  You can see a little step-by-step tutorial on her site here.

Sieze the Day Card And, I'll leave you with one more card from this kit....more Prima butterflies.  Once I started I just couldn't quit.  :-)

Sieze the Day Card Detail 1 Well, that's all for tonight...swing by here tomorrow... a little birdie told me there just might be some Tinkering Ink sneak peeks.  *wink*

Take #2

Ok Typepad...work with me here.  July...happy July!  Where does time go?  Can't believe the 4th of July weekend is upon us.  I hope you have lots of fun planned.  We're taking a little weekend road trip to visit my sister.  I haven't been there in waaaay to long.  So excited!

Lots to share tonight, I may save some for tomorrow.  First off, regarding the little secret from last post, not sure I can let the cat... ahem.. I mean BIRD out of his little *green* bag yet, but soon, I promise.  He's starting to get a little *sour* from the wait, so hopefully real soon.  heehee.  :-)  (those were hints btw, just so you don't think I'm losing it.)

Next, I have some projects to share.  I was thrilled to be asked by Marina from ScrapMagie to be one of her guest designers for July.  She puts together gorgoues kits with such a fun array of goodies.  I have loved every minute of creating with this kit.

Betsy Veldman - Tiny Toes   First is a layout of some of my favorite photos of Betsy Veldman - Tiny Toes-Detail1Betsy Veldman - Tiny Toes-Detail2 Katie from a few months back.  Don't you just love baby toes?  So soft and kissable.  Just love them to pieces.  Everything I used here was from the kit except the little Making Memories alphas.

Betsy Veldman - Thanks Bright Card Next is a card... I just love all of the different looks you can get with this kit by mixing and matching the papers.  So much fun.

Well, I think that better be all tonight.  I don't think I dare push my luck with Typepad any further tonight lest this post disappear once again into Typepad-Never-Never-Land.   g 'night!

Buried under a rainbow..

ok, sorry for the lack of posts this week, folks.  I've been totally buried under a rainbow of the most delicious scrappy goodies from the most colorful company out there.  Yup, the new Tinkering Ink goodies have come and gone.   Wait til you see.  So, so fun and classic TI.  Can't wait to show you....maybe next week????  Stick around.... *wink*  Oh, but wait, I just realized Kezia's just put up one of the new lines in the Tinkering Ink Blog...check it out.

Oh, and I have a secret for you tonight.  Something really fun, but I can't say a whole lot yet...maybe more in a day or two.  I can just give Teaser4 you a tiny hint...I'm feeling Oddly Green tonight.  Are you totally lost yet?  Well, maybe this little sneaky peeky with help... or then again, maybe not.  You'll just have to wait some more.  Boy, I'm just full of little teasers tonight, huh?  :-)

Ok, enough with the teasing.  I do actually have a few Provo Craft projects to share tonight.  First is this Sweet Treat Candy Container little treat container using...you guessed it... the Popcorn Box from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cart.  A favorite for sure.  Everything else is from the new Solutions carts.  The letters are Street Sign, the label is Weddings and the strawberry (isn't that a CUTE strawberry??) is Indie Art.

Beach Babe Layout And next is a little 8x8 layout using tons of Cuttlebug dies and embossers.  That's my little beach babe.  She just loves the water.  Well, except if it's in the bath tub.  She HATES that.  Strangest thing.  :-)

Well, I better be off to bed.  'night!
